Critical to the growth of CafePress.com and reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Analytics is charged with building and managing our Business Intelligence capabilities. CafePress’s business encompasses consumer internet retailing, B2B eCommerce services and manufacturing operations. With literally millions of products, hundreds of thousands of shopkeepers, and millions of customers, orchestrating our complex business model through sophisticated predictive modeling will enable strategic decision making that will further drive our business forward. As the quantitative linchpin in this metrics driven company, this individual will work with the executive team to provide an understanding our business at both micro and macro levels.
Required Experience:
With passion for discovery, zest for understanding, and love of communicating what is found, this individual will be the “go to” person who can effectively divine and articulate the drivers that most influence business.
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of predictive and analytical processes
- Building and managing a business intelligence team to address analytics across the entire operations
- Understanding our business complexities and delve deeply into our factors of success, determining profitability of revenue channels.
- Lead analysis in all areas of operations (product/services P&L, web, business process, and marketing) across the company
- Provide financial modeling, forecasting and dashboards, including data interpretation and reporting
- Ongoing development of a business intelligence directive that will enable CafePress.com to spot trends, determine course corrections, and take advantage of opportunities

This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Experience & Skills
- 7 to 10 years of experience in environments of excellence where modeling and analysis are valued and considered core to accomplishing business objectives
- 5+ years of hands-on predictive modeling experience
- Have strong analytical experience coupled with direct experience with CRM systems and relational databases. Is steeped in deep technical knowledge of current direct response techniques, strategies and trends
- Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor and grow a team of business intelligence professionals
- Intellectual horsepower to comprehend the complex and synthesize into the simple; conceptualizing and championing
- MBA; ideally with an MS or PhD in quantitative analytics field
