Why is the WAA having the Championship?
Our intention is to create an opportunity where Web Analysts can interact and share their professional knowledge with their fellow analysts in the Web Analytics community. As part of our efforts to promote the Web Analytics field, the WAA choose to launch the Web Analytics Championship on the official WAA Web site. We believe that this will be a wonderful opportunity for Web Analysts to have some “analytical fun”, share their knowledge and if you are really good, win prizes!
How long does the contest last?
WAA members will have two weeks to analyze the site and submit their insights regarding how to improve the Web site. The competition will start on June 1st and analysts will have two weeks to evaluate the data. Evaluations will be due no later than two weeks after the review period ends.
Who can participate?
Only WAA members may access the login information, register and win.
What are the prizes?
The first prize will be an eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit pass including hotel expenses.
The second prize will be a US$500 Amazon coupon for you to buy a lot of Web Analytics books... and the third prize will be a US$250 Amazon coupon so that you can buy half as much! In addition, the winner will have the right to include a special “WAA champion” badge to his/her website or blog; and there will also be a “Top 5 Web Analyst” badge. We will provide the Top 5 winner a place to upload their analysis to the WAA website in case they wish and link back to their website or blog.

Why is the only tool being used Google Analytics?
For the purpose of this project, we invited all Founding Corporate members to implement their tools on the WAA Web site, but only Google decided to participate.

The submissions will be judged by some of the best Web Analysts in the industry and their illustrious names are: Avinash Kaushik, Neil Mason, June Dershewitz.
